Theater group Hotel Modern, internationally known for performances in which miniature worlds with thousands of little figures are brought to life, created for the first time a Virtual Reality experience in which the viewer finds themselves in the middle of a model world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hotel Modern often depicts stories in which war plays a major role; for Exodus, the creators were inspired by the memories of refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Floating above a devastated and abandoned city, the viewer glides into a stream of refugees: hundreds of people, carrying luggage, traversing the desert in cars, trucks, and on foot. It reveals the strong will to survive and the perseverance, but also makes the alienation, the uprooting, and the loneliness palpable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The VR experience Exodus lasts 10 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
